About
FCT College of Education, Zuba is a premier teacher-training institution located in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory. We are dedicated to preparing the next generation of educators who will shape the future of learning across the nation.
Our Story
In 1996, the influx of people into the federal capital territory and an increase in enrollment in schools compelled the then Minister to establish a committee to determine the modalities for the creation of a college of education from the defunct Teachers College, Zuba.
The institution was formally established in 1997 and commenced operations in 1998.
The college has six (6) schools, twenty-eight (28) academic departments and a directorate of general studies in education.
The college, like any other college of education in Nigeria, is headed by a provost who is equivalent to a director in the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
