Sandwich Programmes at FCT College of Education, Zuba provide a flexible pathway for in-service teachers and professionals to upgrade their qualifications. Designed as vacation, weekend, or modular intensive courses, these programmes are ideal for those seeking to earn the NCE or a degree without pausing their employment. Sandwich programmes reflect the college’s commitment to lifelong learning and inclusive teacher capacity building.
Structure and Duration
NCE via Sandwich: 4 years (modular, usually during school holidays)
Degree via Sandwich: 5 years (modular, available to both UTME and Direct Entry candidates)
Mode:
Courses are delivered in blocks during school vacations (July–September and December), or via weekend/evening schedules, leveraging practical, interactive learning.
Entry Requirements
Academic Qualifications: Same as the regular NCE/Degree requirements
Minimum five(5) credits in O-Level, including English Language and Mathematics.
UTME/Direct Entry: As applicable for the university degree sandwich option.
Work Experience: Active employment as a teacher (in-service) gives priority.
Documents: Valid teaching appointment letters, academic transcripts, ID.
